If you are installing a wooden floor throughout your home you may require joining boards. This profile is commonly used when installing a wooden flooring around an existing skirting board (rather than fitting a new one). Its purpose is to bridge the gap between the floor and the board/moulding. It can also be used to cover the gap between flooring and external door frames rather than using a solid edged moulding. The trim has a clear lacquered finish allowing it to blend in with your flooring and/or skirting.
